I loved "Love and Other Words"—I hope you do too! :) (I like a lot of Christina Lauren's books.) I (tragically) haven't had much time to read recently, but my current TBR list is mostly books already on my shelf that I've just never gotten around to (such as "The Grand Affair," a biography of John Singer Sargent, and "The Lioness of Boston," a sort of biographical novel about Isabella Stewart Gardner—both of whom I love, but neither of which I've even touched...). However, I have a feeling I'll just end up returning to my well-worn fantasy favorites, lol...
The first and only other book I read of Christina Lauren was the Holidaze! and while I loved the vibes of that book (she really knows how to create a cozy setting) I wasn’t super in love with the plot. That being said, I’m REALLY enjoying Love & Other Words and so glad I am reading another of Christina Lauren’s books.
I totally feel you about books on the shelf never being read! I have many of those myself haha. Both of the books you mentioned sound very interesting and I’m sure you will pick them up when it’s the right time. And there’s no harm in reading just for the simple joy of reading (Plus, rereading counts towards your goal on goodreads!)
Love your TBR list! I'm currently reading Confronting the Presidents (basically a quick summary of what ever single president did during their term and a bit of background) and The Husbands (a women keeps coming home to a different husband - it's a time-travel/timeline hopping type vibe). Spring is slowly emerging here, and I'm so excited!
Thank you!! and oohhh, I've heard of The Husbands. You'll have to let me know what you think about it once you're done reading it! Spring is emerging here too, even though it is cold out today. On a walk yesterday, my husband pointed out that new leaves were growing from a tree and it literally made us so excited.
I love gardening, but am not able to do it as often as I'd like to! I'm planning on adding new plants and flowers to our apartment balcony this spring. There's nothing quite like working with damp soil and watching plants grow and bloom. I'm so happy to hear how you're prepping for spring!

I'll let you know how it is when I finish! I'm eagerly awaiting the leaves...we probably have a little bit to go before they dare!
I love denim but don’t wear it enough! Thanks for the info.
I’ll be throwing my hands into the soil more this spring. Getting both my home and my studio springing forward with color.
I bought coleus already which is gorgeous in the shade where most things of color fade. Cannot wait to get it done!
