Easiest things you can thrift to curate your dream home
You can find these items at thrift stores pretty easily, so don't waste your money buying them new!
Thrifting is addictive. No, literally. There’s nothing like the high of finding a genuine vintage leather jacket for $15, or an original piece of gorgeous artwork for $1 (yes, both are true stories).
A lot of my home decor is second-hand, either from thrift stores or FB marketplace. My mid-century Drexel dining table with all the original chairs came from FB marketplace for just $150—to give you an idea of how good of a deal that is, just the used table goes online for thousands of dollars.
I believe that thrifting is one of the best ways to furnish and decorate your home, not only because it’s sustainable, but because you will often find more unique, better quality items than you would if buying them new.
To help you get started on your thrifting journey, I’ve compiled a list of home items that are easy to find at thrift stores:
Frames
Baskets
Lamps
Furniture (couches, chairs, tables, dressers, desks, etc.)
Garden items (pots, plant stands, etc.)
Vases
Decorative books
Glassware
Jewelry dishes and trays
Mirrors
Taper candle holders
Original artwork
I know it’s a bit of a short newsletter this week—I’ve been so busy writing for work!
Speaking of, check out my latest article for SUCCESS on how to wake up earlier for a more productive day.
Anyway, thank you so much for reading! And please let me know what your favorite/best thrift find has been in the comments!
Thrifting is fun! The better you know your stuff; the better the experience is! Google is my friend!
